The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; His love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, (2 Chronicles 5:13)
The Macedonia Music & Arts Ministry is comprised of people who strive to use their God-given talents in a selfless manner to serve, praise, and worship God. The ministry includes the:
Each choir rehearses regularly and sings on specific Sundays each month. An overview of each group follows:
The Angelic Voices - The Angelic Voices are the children of Macedonia, ages 5 to 15, who sing with vibrant joy to the glory of God on the second Sunday of each month. The Angelic Voices rehearse on Saturdays before the first and second Sundays at 10:30 AM.
The Gospel Choir - The Macedonia Gospel Choir are dedicated, spirit-filled individuals committed to preparing the congregation through song for the preaching of the Word on the first and third Sundays at 11:00 AM worship service (10:00 AM in the months of July and August). The Gospel Choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM.
The Men’s Choir - The Men’s Choir includes dedicated men of Macedonia who sing to the glory of God on the fourth Sunday of each month. The Men’s Choir rehearses Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM
The Multigenerational Liturgical Dancers – The Multigenerational Liturgical Dancers include youth and adults and provide a visual interpretation of God's word, and their movements allow each worshipper to experience God's spirit in a new and different way. The Liturgical Dancers rehearse on the first, second, and third Saturdays of each month.
The Praise Team - The Praise Team is a group of spirit-filled, joyful, prayerful individuals willing to lift up the name of Jesus as they lead the congregation in praise and worship at the beginning of 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship services.
The Theatre Arts Ensemble - The Theater Arts Ensemble presents dramatic productions during key liturgical and cultural observances during the year. The Ensemble also collaborates with other ministries on dramatic performances for special observances such as Black History Month, Easter, and Christmas.
The Chamber Orchestra – The Chamber Orchestra is comprised mostly of Macedonia youths who play a variety of instruments. The orchestra in full and/or small groups of its members often play on the second Sunday of each month and/or during other worship services and programs.
Although the Music & Arts Ministry is composed of several components, the ministry works collaboratively to ensure the worship experience is seamless for those attending services in person or via the Livestream. In addition, the ministry collaborates on productions for special observances such as Black History Month, Easter, and Christmas.
The Music and Arts Ministry produces an Easter Cantata that reflects the integration of all elements of the ministry in conjunction with the Audiovisual Ministry. It is our prayer that God will continue to use the Music & Arts Ministry in His service.
