"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me" (Matthew 25:35-36).
Everyone has their own definition of “community engagement,” but what does it mean for Macedonia Baptist Church? Macedonia's mission is to nurture a community where men, women, boys, and girls may find God and be found of God. We are called to address the needs of the whole person by activating our commitment to worship, preaching, teaching, community engagement, and economic development. We are driven to serve God by serving our community.
One aspect of community engagement is providing assistance to other organizations that serve the community. Individuals and/or families may contact the Ministry through several sources, including members of the Community Engagement Ministry, members of the Church at large, or calls and letters from community organizations. Please note, this Ministry does not address the needs of Macedonia members; the Diaconate is responsible for ensuring member needs are addressed.
Membership – The Community Engagement Ministry currently has 10 – 15 members and we welcome more people who are willing to work. There are no other qualification criteria. Come to a meeting and join us!
Meetings: The first Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
