Art and the Environment

Black Dimensions in Art, Inc., The Nature Conservancy, and Macedonia Baptist Church are partnering to offer a free three-day Art and the Environment program.

Students will have the opportunity to learn to paint landscapes from acclaimed artist, Takeyce Walter at three spectacular locations. Students will also meet staff from The Nature Conservancy to learn more about nature, climate change, and jobs in conservation. We will visit The Nature Conservancy’s Pinebush Preserve and Christman Sanctuary not too far from Albany and spend a day in Lake George on a boat that serves as a floating classroom hosted by the Lake George Association.

This program is open to 10 students, ages 10-13.
